Mukti Foundation organized their 2nd Aids Awareness Road Show in association with Moods Condom on 31 st November & 1 st December 2006 across Mumbai Colleges. The Road Show was attented by Bollywood Actress Riya Sen, Indian Idol 2 Winner Sandeep Acharya & Television Actress Shweta Salve and it was supported by Rotaract Club of L. S. Raheja College.
Road Show of 2004
Mukti Foundation organized an Aids awareness road show on 1 st & 2 nd December 2004 to create awareness of HIV/ AIDS among the youth. The road show was held across 20 top colleges in Mumbai. Celebrities like Mandira Bedi, Rahul Khanna, Priyanka Chopra, Sonu Nigam & Channel [V] Vj Kim graced the event and it was supported by Rotaract Club of Mithibai College.
A. R. Rahman Show
A R Rahman Live in Concert was organized by Mukti Foundation on 28th Febraury 2003 at Andheri Sport Complex amidst an audience of 10000 people. Singers like Sonu Nigam, Udit Narayan, Vasundhara Das, Mahalaxmi, Blaaze, Sukhvinder Singh were part of this mega event. The event was also graced by bollywood celebrities like Amithab Bachcan, Fardeen Khan, Govinda, Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Khanna & Ashutosh Gowarikar.
Dreams
On 23rd March 2002 Mukti hosted “Dreams”. The show was a combination of Stage Performance in music and plays of the children from the normal and the special school as well as performance from film/Pop artists, Dreams was hosted to provide an opportunity to the disabled children to be on the platform of equality with their normal counterparts.
Cricket Match
On the 6th of May 2000, Mukti Foundation hosted a Cricket Celebrity Match between Indian cricket team and the Indian Film Industry in aid of the Drought victims in state of Rajasthan and Gujarat. The proceeds of this event, amounting to Rs USD 1,00,000 have been donated to the “Prime Minister’s Relief fund” for rehabilitation for the drought affected victims.
Kargil
On 4th of July 1999, Mukti organised a tribute to the Bereaved Indian soldier of the Kargil war. Mukti joined hands with the Indian film stars and various artists to pay great homage to the sacrifice of the Indian soldier fighting at Kargil. Mukti by way of donation, tickets sales and sponsorship were able to raise Rs 50,00,000 to be donated to the “Army Welfare Fund” for the welfare of the families of the bereaved soldiers of the Kargil war.
Football Show
Mukti organized a celebrity football match in August 1998 between filmstars & Indian cricket team. The proceeds amounting 5 lacs rupees were donated to Gujarat Cyclone relief fund. Celebrities like Salman Khan, Ashutosh Gowarikar, Nayan Mongia, Rahul Dravid, Ajay Jadeja, Kamal Khan, Robin Singh participated in this event thus making it a grand success.
